A project created at Compileit together with the app team at Taxi Stockholm, as a part time in-house consultant.

Challenge

Support and supply the app team with design solutions in their everyday work with the Taxi Stockholm app, by creating UX and UI design for new features and being responsible for quality checking the app during tests before releases.

Insight

As a result of Taxi ​Stockholm previously having worked with a lot of different design consultants, their existing implemented design and design files were not consistent. There were also a lot of non accessible design solutions that needed to be changed in order to follow The European Accessibility Act (EAA) and WCAG. As well as UX design patterns and solutions that needed to be modernized or improved for a more user-friendly experience.

Approach

Parallel to working on multiple design feature projects, I restructured and organized the existing design files and component library, did accessibility reviews and helped the app team prioritize the importance of what needed to be changed.

One project that we did was improve the over all experience for when the customer selects addresses for their booking. Adding icons to addresses and color to match the current search input with potential addresses, creating restricted pick up and drop off areas for more difficult locations and actually displaying the upcoming ride on the map.
