Challenge

Create a new digital identity that goes along with Södra skogsägarna's existing brand, and reshape how they present their products. Redesign the website and optimize the user experience to make it easier for their potential customers and members to either find the product they are looking for or to becoming a member by affiliating their forestry with Södra skogsägarna.

Insight

Södra skogsägarna is a large company with a complex organisation. Through ​thorough workshops with multiple stakeholder teams, we realized that this has led to a too complex website with too much information and too many clicks before the customer reaches the desired page. Due to how their previous website was constructed, their products were hard to find and poorly communicated to their potential customers. So was their overall offer to potential members, employees and business partners.

Approach

We simplified the menu structure by reducing the menu items and changing the menu from a complex hamburger menu to a two level open menu with mega menus for the more complex parts of the website, one level for potential customers and members, and one level for company related visitors.

I designed a diverse component library celebrating Södra skogsägarna's love for storytelling in their approach to communicate who they are and what they do.​ Along with a structured and adaptable three level template for them to display their products.
