The original idea was created at Berghs School of Communication in collaboration with other students. The project has since been redesigned and modified by me.
Challenge
Create a new visual identity for the music streaming service Spotify.

Insight
Music is built on passion and passion is meant to be shared with other people. This is one of the main reasons for Spotify's success, creating a platform where music lovers easily can experience and share music with their loved ones.

Approach
The new identity was built around a community for Spotify's premium users. Join the Beat is an application that connects music lovers through live music by helping them find new concert buddies.
The community being key in the redesign inspired the pulsating pattern symbolizing the joined activity of the music lovers. Warm and cold colours combined with soft and hard portraits of the musicians creates visual harmony between the love within the community and the edginess of the users.
